Site Selection’s Governor’s Cup 2017

If you didn’t catch the press release our partners at JobsOhio issued earlier this week, Ohio placed significantly high in Site Selection’s Governor’s Cup 2017 rankings.

For example, Ohio was #2 for total projects for the fourth year in the row and #1 in our regional project rankings with a total of 468 projects.

Both Cincinnati and Columbus were listed in the top 10 list of Tier 1 Metros, with Cincinnati coming in sixth place and Columbus coming in seventh place out of all of the metro areas with a population of over 1 million.

They even outranked major metropolitan areas like Washington-Arlington-Alexandria and Los Angeles-Long Beach-Anaheim!

Northwest Ohio ranked very highly, too. For example, Toledo is included in the top 10 rankings in the Tier 2 Metros (populations between 200,000 and 1 million).

In the list of the Top 100 Micropolitans (i.e., cities with populations of 10,000 to 50,000), several northwest Ohio cities placed high including Tiffin, Sandusky, and Van Wert.
